Seal Beach is a city on the coast of Orange County, California, in the United States. The population was 25,242 as of the 2020 census, up from 24,168 in 2010. Seal Beach lies in the far western reaches of Orange County. Long Beach and the surrounding San Pedro Bay are located to the northwest, directly across the border with Los Angeles County. Huntington Harbour, a Huntington Beach area, and Sunset Beach, also a Huntington Beach neighborhood, are to the southeast. To the east are the cities of Westminster and West Garden Grove, both of which are part of the city of Garden Grove. The unincorporated settlement of Rossmoor and the city of Los Alamitos are located to the north. The majority of the city’s land area is forested.

The Los Alamitos Race Course is named for the city but lies within the neighboring city of Cypress. The USA Water Polo National Oceanic Center[6] is found at the Joint Strengths Preparing Base – Los Alamitos.
